If learning is a staircase, then not all steps are created equal. In math especially, certain skills are extraordinarily difficult for students to master at grade level. These are the “Trip Steps,” which have a definite potential to cause a stumble in learning.

Watch this edWebinar to see a list of these disproportionately difficult math skills, which span pre-K to Algebra I. You’ll also understand:

  • How we identified these skills, and why they’re so challenging for students to learn
  • Why an intense focus on these skills will be critical for learning recovery this school year
  • Which grade levels and skill areas have the most Trip Steps—and how this knowledge can inform instruction
  • How to nurture positive attitudes toward math in your classroom and across your district

This recorded edWebinar is of interest to teachers, school and district leaders, Math Directors, Curriculum Directors, Title I Directors, and Instructional Coaches of the pre-kindergarten through high school levels.
