edWeb 2025 Survey Confirms the Value of Online Professional Learning

edWeb.net has just released results for its annual Professional Learning Survey and it continues to confirm the value of online professional learning that provides choice, flexibility, and current content for preK – 12 educators.

edWeb has been conducting an annual professional learning survey of members since 2016 to track members’ professional learning needs and preferences and how edWeb meets those needs. Year after year, the survey confirms the importance of content that is current and relevant. edWeb hosts online professional learning communities on hundreds of topics, 3,000 videos, and 500 podcasts, and presents 400 new live edWebinars a year.

The survey shows that edWeb has a big impact on educator knowledge and practice and student learning. Educators share their learning with colleagues, increasing the impact. With over 1 million educators in 185 countries, that is a powerful way to spread the best ideas and practices in education.

Members provided over 300 comments as part of the survey that provide a deeper understanding of educators’ needs. The comments are overwhelmingly positive and thankful for a free service that provides high-quality, online professional learning that meets their needs:

The survey was conducted in January 2025 and was sent via email to 150,000 edWeb members. We received over 1,000 replies, a comparable response with past years.
