Learn how to use technology to engage young students as they learn the skills required to be successful readers. Sarah Rich showed to help your students master the foundational skills needed to prepare them for reading.
Sarah, a teacher and a trained blended learning expert, shared:
- What blended learning is and how it is transforming the elementary classroom – specifically for students learning how to read

- Five activities you can try in your classroom this fall to improve reading engagement and results
- A walkthrough of the free Eyeread app for teaching students the skills required for reading

This webinar will benefit PreK-2 teachers, librarians and administrators as well as reading coaches, literacy specialists, curriculum directors, and technology directors.
Sarah Rich is a founding faculty member and second grade teacher at the Paul Cuffee Charter School in Providence, Rhode Island. She has been teaching for 16 years and is a recent graduate of the Highlander Institute’s Fuse RI program. Sarah teaches using a flipped learning model with playlists. Her students use a station rotation model for math and literacy. Sarah’s strengths are classroom management in a 21st century classroom and parent engagement. Follow her on Twitter @edtechSAE.
