Sarah, a teacher and a trained blended learning expert, shared:
- What blended learning is and how it is transforming the elementary classroom – specifically for students learning how to read
- What the SAMR model for technology integration is
- Five activities you can try in your classroom this fall to improve reading engagement and results
- A walkthrough of the free Eyeread app for teaching students the skills required for reading
The session featured many examples and valuable resources you can use no matter what technology constraints exist in your classroom. You will come away feeling inspired and informed to jump back into the classroom this Fall! Children aged 4-7 enter a magical world where books come to life as they demonstrate a combination of reading skill accuracy, speed and context. As our game progress, the frequency of skills introduced adapts to the strengths and weaknesses of each child, reinforcing mastery.
Built for teachers to use in their PreK-2 classrooms or at home to reinforce curriculum through play. It’s simple, and it works.
