Teachers’ Skills in the Digital Age and Personalized PD for Teachers

Wednesday, March 8, 2017 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm EST

Teachers’ Skills

Presented by Lynn Gershman, Educator, 2gnō.me
Sponsored by 2gnō.me

We’re sorry but the recording for this edWebinar is no longer available.

This webinar is about re-imagining professional development for teachers. In most districts, PD is based on a one-size-fits-all model of teaching without differentiation, little teacher input, and little choice. Basically, it is the opposite of how we try to teach students and is the most ineffective way to teach anyone, let alone adults.

Lynn Gershman, Educator-in-Residence at 2gnō.me, presents on what makes a successful PD process and the roadblocks to planning such a process, and share examples of overcoming these roadblocks with awareness and personalization. This recorded webinar will be of particular interest to teachers, administrators, district leadership, instructional technologists, and PD providers.

Lynn GershmanAbout the Presenter

Lynn Gershman has spent 15 years in the secondary classroom honing her practice and working to influence change on a larger scale. Her objective is to reform education in the U.S. through the use of technology. She believes that technology alone will not change the face of education, but when teachers are willing to examine and augment their practice with technology, it will revolutionize the way teachers teach and the way students learn.
