Transform school culture and create sustainable structures for learning through intentional play. This stimulating edWebinar explores play-based approaches to classroom programming that are infused with culturally relevant and responsive teaching. When instructional methods honor play, we can build on learners’ strengths, meet their needs, and nurture the growth they require to be successful academically.

Join Kenisha Bynoe and Angelique Thompson, authors of the book The Gift of Playful Learning, as they share three ideas for creating spaces that engage, motivate, and encourage children to think deeply and critically. In this edWebinar, you:

  • Explore the learning cycle using authentic classroom experiences and how they can be entry points for curriculum content.
  • Learn how to evaluate learners and their strengths, needs, and interests to consider how to offer play-based learning opportunities.
  • Uncover the components of an Invitation for Learning and how it supports diverse needs through differentiation.

Viewers gain practical strategies, lesson ideas, and a clear understanding of how to implement purposeful play-centric programming that supports all learners.

This recorded edWebinar is of interest to Pre-K through Grade 3 educators, librarians, school and district leaders.
