What if a three-minute video could spark an entire STEAM investigation? How do you turn students from passive viewers into curious problem-solvers?

Attend this edWebinar with educators from the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum to discover simple ways to transform short videos into active, inquiry-driven STEAM learning, without adding hours of lesson planning.

Using standards-aligned activities from the Museum’s free On Air: Weather and Solar System collections, explore how a single question can launch an investigation that fits into 10 minutes or expands into a full class period.

Through visual examples, interactive polls, and classroom examples, you’ll practice developing questions that encourage curiosity and scientific reasoning. Leave with new strategies, free classroom-ready videos, and educator guides to bring fresh energy to your STEAM lessons in the new year. This edWebinar will be of interest to middle school educators.
