Calling all educators who are passionate about student-centered and personalized learning, learner variability, choice boards, blending learning, and Universal Design for Learning! Whether you’re newer to these concepts and want to focus more on them this coming school year, or you’ve been teaching using these models for a long time, we’d love your feedback.

In this recorded edWebinar, hear from Sarah and Hal Schwartz, former educators and co-founders of a new edtech tool called SchoolStack, a platform that helps teachers organize and deliver lessons focused on learner variability and student choice.

In theory, student-centered classrooms are beneficial, but they can be hard to create in practice, especially with all that educators juggle. SchoolStack is on a mission to make this easier, so we’re seeking feedback from educators like you.

In this recorded edWebinar, Sarah and Hal briefly talk about the research behind SchoolStack, walk through a demo, and provide opportunities for feedback. As a thank you, participants and viewers can join SchoolStack’s pilot group, with access to the premium version and professional development support for free in 2021.

This recorded edWebinar will be of interest to teachers and school and district leaders of the K-12 levels.

Sarah SchwartzAbout the Presenters

Sarah Schwartz is the co-founder and CEO of SchoolStack, a platform that empowers educators to create student-centered learning environments. Education has been Sarah’s lifelong passion. Prior to SchoolStack, she was a high school English teacher. She’s been focused on student-centered learning since the beginning of her career when she taught at a project-based learning school in Sweden. Students had autonomy and were engaged, hardworking, and happy at school. She was hooked! Next, Sarah taught at another project-based learning school before studying nonprofit leadership at The University of Pennsylvania. Sarah became a teacher because she’s passionate about helping all students become the drivers of their own learning, and she’s excited to now be doing this on a larger scale. Sarah resides in Pennsylvania with Hal and their four children, where they’ve spent the past year and a half—just like many—doing their best to juggle working and parenting through the pandemic!

Hal SchwartzHal Schwartz is the co-founder and chief product officer of SchoolStack, a platform that empowers educators to create student-centered learning environments. Hal is a lifelong educator. Over the past 16 years, he’s served in various roles: teacher, director of curriculum/instruction, and most recently elementary school principal. He’s worked in unique schools across sectors: public, private, magnet, and charter. Early in his career, Hal taught at a leadership school and was named Teacher of the Year. After working in schools across the country, Hal’s learned that no matter the location or makeup of a school community, children thrive when they feel valued and have choice in their learning. He’s passionate about helping educators create these environments for all students. Hal resides in Pennsylvania with Sarah and their four children, where they’ve spent the past year and a half—just like many—doing their best to juggle working and parenting through the pandemic!

Closed captioning will be added to the recording within 2 weeks of the live presentation.
