While some students have always struggled to learn to read, many of these students lost important instructional time during the pandemic to disrupted learning. This means there are students in middle school who haven’t gained full reading comprehension skills. What can we do?

Watch Meg Van Voorhis, Director of Professional Learning at Lexia Learning, as she discusses how professional learning about the Science of Reading can help teachers address disrupted learning. Viewers learn why literacy professional learning is so important for teachers, even those in content areas outside of ELA, what that professional learning should look like, and the benefits it can provide to all students, but especially those who fell even further behind during the pandemic.

This recorded edWebinar is of interest to K-12 teachers, school and district leaders, and education technology leaders.
