About the Presenters
Kerry Richmond is a dedicated K-12 STEM Specialist and Account Executive with a passion for enhancing science education. She holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in educational leadership and administration and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in secondary education and teaching from Concord University. Kerry spent nearly 15 years as a high school science teacher in Mercer County Schools, West Virginia, before serving as a math and science coordinator for the West Virginia Board of Education. With extensive experience in developing and implementing STEM curricula, she collaborates with educators to integrate innovative teaching strategies and resources into classrooms, aiming to improve student outcomes in STEM subjects. In her current role, she supports teachers and administrators in creating dynamic, interactive learning environments that inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers.

Shauna Carlson is an AI Integration Specialist and Marketing Director who leads the K-12 marketing team at JoVE. An early adopter of AI, she has leveraged it extensively in her professional and personal life. Shauna uses AI to develop campaigns, draft presentations, write emails and advertisements, and streamline workflows. At home, she applies AI to help her kids with math homework and tackle everyday challenges. Her innovative approach to AI integration showcases its potential to enhance efficiency, creativity, and engagement in education and beyond.
