National and many states’ science education standards make it clear that students must learn the facts that undergird scientific disciplines as well as how to perform the actions scientists use to discover and understand facts such as formulating questions, designing experiments, analyzing data, and communicating results.
These multi-dimensional standards present challenges related to schedules that limit classroom and laboratory time, assessment of students’ practice-based abilities, and learners from diverse backgrounds who require different amounts and types of support. This recorded edWebinar will present methods for engaging and assessing students that are adaptive to schedule-based challenges.
This recorded edWebinar will be of interest to teachers and school and district leaders of the middle through high school levels.
