Drawing on her training and on-the-ground experience, Dr. McKeon gives concrete examples of how small changes can substantially impact your physical and mental health, your ability to work through daily challenges, and your ability to lead and influence others.

Dr. Barbara McKeonAbout the Presenters

Dr. Barbara McKeon’s career has focused on serving the needs of the most vulnerable populations. She has earned her bachelor’s degree in anthropology from Rutgers University, master’s in communication disorders from the University of Vermont, and a doctorate in educational leadership, management and policy from Seton Hall University. She is an ASHA-Certified Speech/Language Pathologist. She has written and been featured in numerous articles and has spoken extensively both nationally and internationally on topics in education including improving school culture, school turnaround, aspiring leadership, building relational trust and integrating restorative practices. Dr. McKeon has served on numerous city and state committees designed to improve educational outcomes for at-risk youth. She has held adjunct professorships at Pace, Brooklyn College and the University of Vermont. She currently holds the position of Senior Program Director for the Cahn Fellows Programs and was a 2015 Cahn Fellow for Distinguished Principals.

 

Sonny ThadaniSonny Thadani is a dedicated dad of three, first and foremost. Sonny’s passion for education and mental health came after working with Sandy Hook Promise, an organization dedicated to improving the lives and mental well-being of students across the U.S. Having witnessed the impacts of mental health firsthand, he became determined to solve this challenge through Robin.

Prior to starting Robin, Sonny was a founding member of Accordion Partners, the leading consulting firm focused on private equity-backed companies. He spent 10 years as COO at Accordion—shaping the strategy, crafting the culture, and scaling the business to more than 130 employees across five offices. In his spare time, Sonny loves listening to a good speech and old-school rock ‘n roll—just not simultaneously.
