Surveys of American public school teachers and parents tell us that teachers don’t have the time, support, or professional learning to bring an understanding and implementation of learner variability into classrooms. Yet, learner variability has the potential to personalize instruction for each learner in order to improve academic opportunities and well-being. AI, if used intentionally and with a research base, has the potential to support teacher efforts to develop lesson plans that personalize instruction.

A new AI-powered tool will be explored that combines Digital Promise’s research-based Learner Variability Navigator (LVN) and Learning Innovation Catalyst, Inc.’s (LINC) new AI platform, Yourway. LVN is a web app that curates the research on how students learn and strategies that can be used in the classroom today to support customizing instruction, including for students with learning differences. Yourway is a customizable, pedagogically trained AI education enhancement platform that bridges research to practice. LVN and Yourway are joining forces to strive to improve educators’ ability to create lesson plans steeped in research and easily accessible that can facilitate the creation of customized lesson plans.

In this edWebinar, you learn about how learner variability allows you to understand the whole child and use an AI-powered tool to quickly and easily tap into LVN research to develop lesson plans that account for learner variability. You also discover:

  • The importance of whole-child teaching and learning
  • Key factors of learning for grades Pre-K through 12 in literacy, math, and 21st century skills and accompanying strategies, including for students with learning differences
  • How to use Yourway’s LVN integration to develop lesson plans

The LVN/Yourway team is also looking for teacher feedback on their latest tool. Educators who try LVN/Yourway and complete a short survey seeking their input on what works, what doesn’t, and how LVN/Yourway can be improved will get six months of free access to Yourway Pro. Feedback will be used to create a tool that is efficient and effective in customizing the education experience.

This recorded edWebinar is of interest to PreK-12 teachers, school leaders, district leaders, and education technology leaders.
