About the Presenters
Chelsey Cody is the Digital Learning Coordinator in Garland ISD. As the Digital Learning Coordinator, Chelsey works with 1:1 instructional coaches and multiple departments in Garland ISD to enhance digital learning integration. Supporting and coaching educators as they integrate technology is her passion and GIFs are her love language. With a diverse background in content and levels of teaching experience, being able to apply best practices to instruction that impacts student growth is at the forefront of what she strives to do.
Dr. Chris Everett serves engage2learn as the Chief Operating Officer, providing leadership and strategic vision to the organization. In this role, he fosters growth among team members and plays a critical role in the refinement, design, and integration of organization-wide, cross-team systems and processes to ensure alignment and increased operational efficiency. He brings a wealth of administrative and leadership experience to the team to help carry out the e2L strategic plan with a human-centered focus.
Dr. Everett has been a Texas educator for over 20 years, serving at multiple levels within the school structure. He has been a classroom teacher and athletic coach, a campus administrator, a district administrator, and a director at a regional Education Service Center. Dr. Everett has a doctorate in leadership in educational administration from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and brings a wealth of experience and expertise related to leadership and systems thinking.
About the Moderator
Dewayne McClary is engage2learn’s Executive Director of Strategic Partnerships. Bringing nearly 20 years of education experience as a teacher, coach, and school and district administrator in the District of Columbia Public Schools, Arlington Public Schools, and Williamsburg County School District, he strives to ensure the best for K-12 learners every day.
Dewayne‘s most recent experience as the Senior Director of Networks and Partnerships at Digital Promise Global has equipped him with a strategic understanding of educational issues and opportunities at the national level. Dewayne has received numerous education industry awards, including the 2021 Global Forum for Education and Learning Top 100 Visionaries in Education, 2021 EdTech Digest Top 100 Influencers in EdTech, and the 2020 CoSN NextGen Emerging EdTech Leader.
