Great teaching is more than just delivering content. It’s about creating structures and routines that help both teachers and students thrive. Predictable, consistent practices reduce the cognitive load on teachers, empower students to engage deeply in math, and ensure every learner has access to rigorous content.

In this edWebinar, we explore how thoughtfully designed routines can transform math classrooms into places where all students succeed. Together, we unpack practices that make teaching more manageable, including:

  • Consistent structures that help teachers focus on math rather than logistics
  • Strategic models (like number lines, tape diagrams, and fluency routines) that support coherence across grade levels
  • Math Language Routines and Problem-Solving Routines that strengthen student discourse, build academic language, and develop reasoning skills
  • Embedded supports for multilingual learners and diverse learning needs

Educators walk away with a deeper understanding of how consistency and predictability in math routines empower teachers to teach with confidence and students to learn with greater independence. This recorded edWebinar is of interest to elementary and middle school teachers, school leaders, and district leaders.
