In this edWebinar, join President and CEO of The Eagle Academy Foundation David C. Banks for a practice-changing edWebinar as he shares transformative ideas about how to create an equitable literacy framework.
Now more than ever, schools and districts are looking for actionable ways to create equitable opportunities for all students. Creating true equity requires educators to shift their mindset from equity as a practice that can be implemented to an understanding that the whole education system needs to support each student based on who they are as an individual.
Literacy, as the cornerstone of all learning, is a powerful place to start this work. Attendees will learn more about the how and why of developing an equitable literacy framework, the power of access to diverse stories, and how providing students with the historical context to understand how those stories connects them to the world around them. Join us to learn how to author a story of equity for every student.
This edWebinar will be of interest preK-5 school and district leaders. There will be time to get your questions answered at the end of the presentation.
