About the Presenters
Joy Allcock, M.Ed. is an independent literacy consultant and facilitator of teacher professional development throughout New Zealand and internationally. She is a presenter at New Zealand and international literacy conferences (IRA, ASCD/ACEL), an author of a range of literacy resources for teachers and students, and leader of the Shine Literacy Research Project (designed and evaluated by Massey University).
Kylie Rymanowicz is a seasoned education professional with a deep expertise in child development and early childhood education. Holding a master’s degree in family life and youth education with a concentration in parent education from North Carolina State University, and a bachelor’s degree in child development and psychology from Central Michigan University, Kylie brings a rich blend of academic knowledge and practical experience to the field.
As the Senior Manager of Curriculum at Hatch Early Learning, Kylie leads the creation of cutting-edge educational frameworks and curriculum development, driving the innovation of digital learning experiences tailored for young learners. Before joining Hatch, Kylie dedicated seven years to Michigan State University Extension, where they were instrumental in designing and implementing community education programs and providing professional development for early childhood educators.
Dr. Naomi Polinsky is a cognitive psychologist with an expertise in children’s and families’ play, learning, and digital experiences. She is currently the Director of Research at Hatch Early Learning where she leads educational research to ensure all Hatch products support young children’s learning. Dr. Polinsky has a decade of educational research experience. She has published several lead author research studies in academic journals such as Journal of Applied Developmental Psychology. Her research has supported the development and evaluation of several educational children’s apps, games, and museum exhibit experiences, including Noggin, LuvBug Learning, and the Tinkering Lab at Chicago Children’s Museum. She received her Ph.D. in cognitive psychology and a certificate in management from Northwestern University and earned a BA in psychology from Barnard College, Columbia University.

Nicole Nesheim, PhD leads Hatch Early Learning’s literacy initiatives as Senior Director for Academic Programs. With over 15 years of experience in the field, having served as a classroom teacher, school administrator, and professor, she holds a deep understanding of both pedagogy and policy.
