Teachers, administrators, parents, and the community can combine their efforts to ensure students succeed.
This timely edWebinar will discuss the importance of family and community involvement—particularly on behalf of English learners. As emerging bilinguals, students’ classroom progress, community integration, post-secondary education options, and job prospects greatly hinge on their language skills. For parents, developing their own English language skills enables them to have a visible, active presence in their children’s school life.
In this edWebinar, Rick Castaneda, Language Training Specialist at Rosetta Stone, will share best practices learned from his personal experiences as an educator and working with families. A district in Arizona will also discuss how they have created a successful family engagement program. Last, Melanie Rogers, Language Training Team Lead at Rosetta Stone, will help guide the conversation and provide best practices for you to engage families in your community.
This presentation will be of interest to preK-12 teachers, librarians, and school and district leaders. There will be time for questions at the end of the presentation.
