Financial Empowerment for Every Child in Every Grade

Decisions students make as early as middle school affect their financial futures, as evidenced by the collective $1.7 trillion in student loan debt. At Cajon Valley, we combine Career Development with FSA tools and resources to support and guide students. Join us to learn how teachers unpack these concepts with their students.
Breakout Session D:
Student Readiness for Labor Market Outcomes. New Global Longitudinal Research Including PISA Results
Dr. Anthony Mann, senior policy analyst at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development
Hosted by Ed Hidalgo, Chief Innovation & Engagement Officer, CVUSD
How can we be sure that students are being well prepared for their adult working lives? During this session, Dr. Mann will cover details from a new paper that presents new approaches to determining teenage indicators of adult economic success. Driven by concern over rising youth employment, the presentation draws on national longitudinal studies to identify the career-related attitudes and experiences proven to make a difference. It uses international comparative data to show how the experiences of US teenagers compares to those in other high-income countries.
