This presentation has educators thinking about why increased accessibility benefits ALL learners in a learning setting and not just multilingual students or students with special needs. Kristin OropezaAbout the Presenters

Kristin Oropeza is an education marketing and community coordinator for Common Sense Media. Apart from leading social media efforts for their Common Sense Education brand, she also helps facilitate their educator, school, and district recognition programs, as well as the Common Sense Ambassadors program. Prior to her work at Common Sense, Kristin was a classroom teacher for 14 years, most of that spent teaching students with special needs. Throughout her career, Kristin has worked to enhance and redefine how students learn through the use of educational technology and UDL to increase student access, motivation, and engagement with curricula and content. She’s an advocate for the creative, thoughtful, and innovative use of technology, and is passionate about sharing her knowledge, experience, and expertise with others. Kristin holds a master’s degree in education from California State University, Long Beach. Kristin is also a Google Certified Trainer, Google Certified Educator (Levels 1 and 2), MIE Expert, and Pear Deck Coach.

Jennifer EhehaltAs Sr. Regional Manager, Jennifer Ehehalt designs and delivers high-quality professional development opportunities for educators across the country. She spotlights thought leaders by creating and moderating conversations on timely topics relevant to digital teaching and learning. When attending Jennifer’s edWeb sessions, participants know they’ll leave with concrete strategies from the field, including how to build a positive school culture, how to use straightforward templates to guide challenging conversations, and family engagement implementation ideas.
