In this edWebinar, educators will explore how STEM Careers Coalition’s (SCC) free resources can help students connect classroom learning to real-world STEM opportunities. This first session of Future-Ready Pathways Series: Connecting Students to Careers highlights high-demand career pathways, turnkey classroom resources, and strategies for embedding career-connected learning into core science instruction.
Attendees will learn how to use SCC videos, career profiles, and hands-on activities to spark student curiosity, deepen engagement, and build workforce-ready skills. Educators leave with a ready-to-implement STEM career exploration toolkit and practical ideas for integrating career awareness throughout the school year.

About the Presenters
Joshua Doty is a Field Talent Partner with Swinerton Incorporated, based in Charlotte, North Carolina. He serves within the Craft Services organization, where he partners with field operations leaders to support workforce development, talent planning, apprenticeship programs, career progression initiatives, and craft employee engagement across multiple regions. In his role, Joshua works closely with operational leadership, training teams, and craft professionals to develop talent pipelines, coordinate leadership development programs, and strengthen the company’s skilled workforce. He is actively involved in programs supporting foremen, superintendents, apprentices, and other field employees, helping connect talent strategy with operational business needs.
Monica Cougan is an education and technology leader with more than 40 years of experience spanning teaching, higher education, educational technology, curriculum, professional learning, strategic partnerships, and organizational leadership. Throughout her career, she has worked at the intersection of education, technology, innovation, and relationships, helping schools and organizations turn new ideas and technologies into meaningful opportunities for educators and students.
Monica has held leadership and consulting roles with organizations such as Jostens Learning, Lightspan, CILC, ENA, CatchOn, and Participate Learning. Her work has included digital learning, technology integration, professional development, data-informed decision-making, global education, bilingual learning, and emerging technologies, including AI.
Today, Monica leads Cougans Partnerships LLC, an independent consulting and partnership practice focused on supporting educational organizations, leaders, and innovative companies with strategic relationships, growth opportunities, and leadership development.
