About the Presenter
Donnie Piercey is an educator and author. The 2021 Kentucky Teacher of the Year, Donnie has over 18 years of experience in education and currently teaches fifth grade in Lexington, Kentucky. With a background in technology integration, he empowers student inquiry and engagement through innovative teaching methods. He authored a professional resource, 50 Strategies for Integrating AI into the Classroom, that offers quick, accessible strategies for utilizing artificial intelligence as a tool for teaching. As the North American lead for the Google Earth Education Experts Network, Donnie is at the forefront of educational technology. His contributions have garnered national attention, with features on Good Morning America, the Associated Press, and PBS.
