Attention and focus are often misunderstood as simple, fixed traits that children either have or lack. In reality, they are complex, dynamic processes that develop over time when given the right support. Attention is the ability to notice, select, and sustain mental energy toward a specific task or interaction, while focus directs that attention with intention and purpose.

This edWebinar explores practical, evidence-based strategies that help children build the internal tools they need to engage meaningfully with their surroundings, as they learn, play, and socialize. Viewers learn how to create classroom environments that actively foster attention skills, as well as sensory and cognitive-behavioral strategies that can be applied across the entire classroom to support the attention and focus of every student.

Designed for educators and specialists working with children ages 3–7, this edWebinar offers a deeper understanding of attention and focus, along with actionable approaches to strengthen these essential skills in young learners.
