Greg Kulowiec

About the Presenters

With two decades in education, Greg Kulowiec brings a unique approach to professional learning that blends his experience as a high school history teacher, professional learning provider, and director of technology. Additionally, he partners with educational technology companies and app developers to develop curriculum materials, teacher resources, and professional learning. With these three lenses and varied educational experience, Greg understands the opportunities and challenges presented when introducing technology into schools and classrooms. He has presented across the country, including sessions at Google’s Global Education Summit, ISTE, and NCSS. Greg is currently the Director of Technology at the Triton Regional School District and the Lead Learner and Principal of the Kulowiec Group. He resides in Newburyport, MA, with his wife and two children.

Yusuf Ahmad

Yusuf Ahmad is the CEO of Playlab, a tech nonprofit that empowers educators, schools, and nonprofits to build their own AI tools or adapt tools built by others. Prior to founding Playlab, Yusuf led new product development for Teach For America, contributed to Scratch (a creative coding platform used by millions of kids), researched at the MIT Media Lab, and was on the founding team of ALU and ALX, a pan-African network of universities and alternative higher ed pathways. Outside of work, he mentors startups through MIT’s Sandbox Fund, angel invests in AI edtech companies like LitLab and Recess, and is a proud girl dad.

Scott Frauenheim

In his role as Chief Executive Officer of LEAP Innovations, Scott Frauenheim continues to champion the cause of transformative educational experiences. Building on his extensive experience and success at Distinctive Schools, Scott brings an unparalleled level of dedication to educational excellence and innovation to LEAP Innovations. His transformational leadership vision for LEAP Innovations underscores his exceptional ability to lead, innovate, and inspire across multiple facets of the educational landscape. Ann Chavez

Dr. Ann M. Chavez is President of LEAP Innovations, a Co-founder of Modern Teacher, and co-creator of the Digital Convergence Framework, Modern Teacher’s proprietary methodology that drives the mission to support districts with the roadmap to build capacity for change at scale, transform the student experience, and empower modern teachers. Dr. Chavez is an author, innovative leader, speaker, and advocate for all learners. She served 22 years in public education across various roles and districts before founding Modern Teacher. Dr. Chavez earned a bachelor’s degree in communications and mathematics from California State University of Long Beach, a Master of Education in school administration from Azusa Pacific University, and a doctorate in K-12 urban educational leadership from the University of Southern California.
