Lisa founded edWeb.net in 2008 to provide a social network that could help educators and all professionals working in the field of education to connect and collaborate and break down the silos and traditional barriers in education. edWeb.net has become an award-winning professional learning network that serves a global community of 1 million educators and won the 2026 CODiE Award for Best Education Professional Development Solution and the 2026 EdTech Digest Award for Best Collaborative Solution. Lisa is one of 29 women entrepreneurs featured in InnovateHERs: Why Purpose-Driven Entrepreneurial Women Rise to the Top by Kathy Hurley and Bobbi Kurshan. District Administration included Lisa on their DA 2026 Top 100 most important voices in K12 education.
Lisa is an education, publishing, and media industry veteran with 40+ years experience in product development, professional learning, marketing, and entrepreneurship. She serves on the Board of the National Coalition for Technology in Education & Training (NCTET), the Expert Network of the Education Research & Development Institute (ERDI), the Project Tomorrow SpeakUp Council, the Title IV-A Coalition, the EDSAFE AI Industry Council, and the SIIA AI Transparency Working Group. Prior to founding edWeb, Lisa held senior positions with Time, Macmillan, Peterson’s, Films Media Group, MKTG Services, Acxiom, and Achieve3000. She is a graduate of Princeton University and has a Masters Degree from the Stern School of Business at NYU.
