Lisa founded edWeb.net in 2008 to provide a social network that could help educators and all professionals working in the field of education to connect and collaborate and break down the silos and traditional barriers in education. edWeb.net has become an award-winning professional learning network that serves a global community of 1 million educators and won the 2022 SIIA CODiE Awards for Best Collaborative Solution for Teachers and Best Professional Learning Solution for Educators. Lisa is one of 29 women entrepreneurs featured in InnovateHERs: Why Purpose-Driven Entrepreneurial Women Rise to the Top by Kathy Hurley and Bobbi Kurshan, published in 2022.

Lisa is an education, publishing, and media industry veteran with 40 years experience in product development, professional learning, marketing, and entrepreneurship. She serves on the Board of the National Coalition for Technology in Education & Training (NCTET), the Expert Network of the Education Research & Development Institute (ERDI), and the Project Tomorrow SpeakUp Council. Lisa speaks frequently on topics related to education marketing, entrepreneurship, and professional learning. Prior to founding edWeb, she held senior positions with Time, Macmillan, Peterson’s, Films Media Group, MKTG Services, Acxiom, and Achieve3000. She is a graduate of Princeton University and has a Masters Degree from the Stern School of Business at NYU.
