What is the best way to implement a digital citizenship plan across a district or school? Let Chris Sherman guide you through the planning and implementation of the program that he put in place to achieve 100% certification in his 85-building district in less than eight months. In this webinar, Chris shared the resources, documentation, and step-by-step process used to achieve this goal. Gain valuable insight into developing or extending your own digital citizenship plan at the teacher or district level. This webinar is geared for both teachers and administrators at the K-12 level.

chris shermanChris Sherman is the Manager for the Instructional Technology Specialists in the El Paso Independent School District. Last year he implemented a 1:1 laptop initiative with his high school students. In addition, the district has over 20,000 iPads, bringing to the front a need to take a major step forward in helping their students and teachers become responsible digital citizens. In August, Chris directed the tech department in guiding the district toward becoming a Common Sense Certified Digital Citizenship district. By the beginning of March, the goal was achieved, with all of the district’s 85 campuses becoming Certified Digital Citizenship schools. Chris believes this is a testimony to the power of working together to accomplish a worthwhile task.
