Lisa Schmucki, the founder and CEO of edWeb.net, commented, “It means so much that our free professional learning for educators – anytime, anywhere – has received such prestigious recognition. It’s so important for teachers, administrators, and librarians to get this kind of support by learning from each other and from innovative educators. Our sponsors, partners, presenters, and our members share this with us. We couldn’t provide this outstanding professional learning without their innovation, their passion, and their desire to share learning with each other to help improve learning.”

Connect and share ideas to improve teaching and learning
edWeb.net was founded 10 years ago. It’s a free professional learning network that hosts online communities and engaging edWebinars for educators – anytime, anywhere. Read the comments of our founder, Lisa Schmucki, on this milestone in edWeb’s journey.
The edWeb community includes teachers, librarians, and administrators who are passionate and generous in sharing the most innovative and effective ideas that can improve their own practice, but more importantly, student learning and preparation for college, career and life.
edWeb.net is free for educators thanks to the support of partners and sponsors who help us host and present programs on the widest possible range of topics from school gardens to coding. Educators love our edWebinars. We host 300 a year, providing real-time engagement for educators around the world. Who says “thank you” for professional development? edWebbers do!
Most edWebbers join one or more of our professional learning communities and attend our edWebinars live or on-demand. In addition to that, edWeb is a free professional social network that any educator or educational institution can use to create a personal learning network to collaborate, share ideas, and move forward faster with new ideas and initiatives.
In a world that offers a plethora of online tools to choose from, edWeb fulfills the need for a professional social and learning network that is focused on the needs of educators. We’ve received wonderful awards and recognition for our work. Our edWebinars are gaining state-level approval for teacher re-licensure. We are happiest that edWebbers tell us every day how much they love edWeb.
