In this edWebinar, Sheryl Hill, Founder of Depart Smart, discusses how to help students become global citizens by preparing them with essential travel safety skills.

About the Presenter
Sheryl Hill is recognized as a travel safety expert by major news, as seen on CNN, Inside Edition, NBC, CBS, ABC, US News and more. She is the host mother to eight international youth for more than 12 years and tragically a bereaved mother. Her 16-year-old son, Tyler, died a preventable death on a student trip to Japan in 2007. Since then, she has applied decades of outcomes based tele-health expertise to prepare students for safe rewarding journeys. Depart Smart is a Moodle Case Study, 2018 Minnesota Cup Finalist, Twin Cities Indie Finalist, and Omni and Telly award winner.
About the Host
Carylann Assante joined SYTA and the SYTA Youth Foundation in 2010. Her professional experience includes association and nonprofit management, hospitality and tourism, and academic enrichment programs for students and youth.
