How do teachers best balance instruction and classroom management? This edWebinar will focus on strategies designed to attract and engage students in learning not only to improve academic achievement but also to create an active yet well-managed classroom. When students are interested, engaged, and having fun in the classroom, teachers do not have to waste instructional time correcting behavior.

Dr. Rebecca Wiehe will share instructional and assessment strategies that can be adapted to a variety of subject areas and grade levels and used with individual learning and/or peer or group situations. By the end of this session, attendees will be able to:

  • Explain the connection between engaging lessons and behavior management
  • Utilize instructional and assessment strategies to engage students in learning
  • Create an active and well-managed learning environment in their classrooms

This edWebinar will be of interest to middle and high school teachers and school leaders.
