Districts invest heavily in curricula, intervention, and professional learning. When renewal decisions arrive, many leaders still can't say with confidence whether those investments moved student learning.
Outcomes-based contracting is one approach leaders are using to close that gap. Rather than paying only for what gets delivered, the district and provider agree up front on what success looks like, how progress will be measured, and what each side is responsible for.
In this edLeader Panel, Dr. Christina Grant of the Center for Education Policy Research at Harvard University, Dr. Sonja Santelises, CEO of Baltimore City Public Schools, and Brittany Johnson of The Center for Outcomes Based Contracting, join moderator Karl Rectanus, CEO of Really Great Reading, to share what outcomes-based contracting looks like in practice. You leave with the questions to ask before pursuing it in your own district.
This recorded edLeader Panel is of interest to elementary through high school district leaders and school leaders.
