About the Presenter
Pramod Abichandani, Ph.D. is an academic and a technology entrepreneur. A passionate educator first, he is an Associate Professor with appointments in the School of Applied Engineering Technology, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Computer Science at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. On the research front, he directs NJIT’s Robotics and Data Lab (RADLab). His NSF-funded research focuses on integrating AI and robotics into STEM education, with over $5M in his research portfolio supporting his innovative research. He is also the founder of two companies—LocoRobo (EdTech) and Eagle Robotics (defense AI-tech). He specializes in making advanced AI concepts accessible to K-16 learners, particularly MS and HS students, through hands-on projects that use AI-powered tools. By bridging research and entrepreneurship with education, he equips students to explore societal value creation through STEM and thrive in an AI-driven world.
