The U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Vaping Prevention and Education Resource Center provides free materials for teachers to educate youth about the dangers of tobacco use. In this edWebinar, viewers learn about a robust collection of science-based, standards-mapped classroom resources that provide educators with the tools they need to have informed discussions with middle and high school students about vaping. Since its initial launch in 2022, the Resource Center has been updated with new content such as Kahoot! quizzes and a comprehensive Spanish microsite for Spanish-speaking students.

View this edWebinar to see these new cross-curricular resources, as well as lesson plans, interactive tools, infographics, and videos. Discover how these resources can be used to start an open discussion about vaping nicotine with students and encourage them to make healthy choices when it comes to nicotine. Hear from Ashley Roberts, Supervisory Health Communications Specialist at FDA, as she discusses the formative research used in developing this Resource Center, the ongoing need for these resources, as well as how to navigate the resources’ new features.

This recorded edWebinar is of interest to middle and high school teachers, librarians, and school and district leaders.
