Allen MendlerAbout the Presenter

Dr. Allen Mendler is an educator and school psychologist who is widely known for his work in developing highly effective behavior management and motivation practices for school professionals working with challenging students of all ages. He is a highly acclaimed speaker who has presented numerous workshops and seminars to educators around the world. Dr. Mendler is the author or co-author of several books and publications, including the soon-to-be-released second edition of the best sellers Motivating Students Who Don’t Care; Power Struggles: Successful Techniques for Educators; Connecting with Students; Turning Tough Parents Into Strong Partners and all editions of the iconic Discipline with Dignity. His favorite pastime is hanging out or playing with his grandchildren.

 

Claudia WheatleyAbout the Moderator

Claudia Wheatley serves as Education Specialist and the author liaison for Solution Tree. In her 50 years in education, she has been a middle and high school English and social studies teacher and an education service center program director. She has led state initiatives for school reform, principal leadership, literacy coaches, school improvement, and technology and innovation. Before coming to Solution Tree, Claudia was a director for the Center for Interactive Learning and Collaboration, a national not-for-profit working with K-12 schools. When she isn’t working with Solution Tree authors, she is holding Grammy Camp for the five grandchildren.
