Tina H. BoogrenAbout the Presenters

Tina H. Boogren, Ph.D. is an award-winning educator, best-selling author, and highly sought-after speaker. Dr. Boogren has proudly served as a classroom teacher, mentor, instructional coach, and building-level leader and has presented for audiences all over the world. Dr. Boogren’s highly requested and inspiring keynotes, workshops, and virtual webinars focus on quality instruction, coaching, mentoring, and professional wellness. She also hosts a weekly podcast, Self-Care for Educators with Dr. Tina H. Boogren.

Dr. Boogren was a 2007 finalist for Colorado Teacher of the Year and was a recipient of her school district’s Outstanding Teacher Award eight years in a row. She is the author of numerous books, including The Beginning Teacher’s Field Guide, 180 Days of Self-Care for Busy Educators, and Take Time for You, which was the Independent Publisher’s Gold Award winner. She is a co-author of Strategies to Motivate and Inspire Students along with Robert J. Marzano, Darrell Scott, and Ming Lee Newcomb, and is a contributing author to Robert J. Marzano’s Becoming a Reflective Teacher.

 

Timothy D. Kanold

Timothy D. Kanold, Ph.D. is an award-winning educator, author, and consultant and national thought leader in mathematics. He is former Director of Mathematics and Science and served as Superintendent of Adlai E. Stevenson High School District 125, a model professional learning community (PLC) district in Lincolnshire, Illinois.

He is a past president of the National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics (NCSM) and co-author of several best-selling mathematics textbooks over several decades. Dr. Kanold has authored or co-authored 13 books on K–12 mathematics and school leadership since 2011, including the 2018 Gold Medal IPPY Award-winning and best-selling book HEART! He also has served on writing commissions for the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) and has authored numerous articles and chapters on school leadership and development for education publications since 2006.
