Educators at all grade levels understand that what happens inside the classroom is deeply connected to students’ personal, emotional, and mental well-being outside the classroom. Although there has been a massive focus in education recently on issues such as trauma and equity, there is a clear and urgent need to adopt an evolved model of schooling that can approach the problem from a strength-based perspective.

This edWebinar invites viewers to consider a humanized educational framework that aligns and synthesizes research and knowledge from an array of fields, such as education, the social sciences, neurology, biology, and psychology, into a dynamic, holistic, and contextualized structure. This approach empowers all educational organizations to meet the needs of every learner and community.

Viewers:

  • Understand that effective implementation of strength-based teaching elements can have a corresponding increase in the psychological fitness and cognitive growth of their students
  • Be inspired by an educational framework in which all practices, strategies, and interventions make sense in a larger, organizational context
  • Discuss the cultural health of their programs and contemplate what steps can be the most useful in helping them move forward

This recorded edWebinar is of interest to K-12 teachers, school leaders, district leaders, and state education agencies.
