Brain breaks are short movement activities that help children focus and give them a positive outlet for energy and wiggles. In this webinar, Dr. Jean (a.k.a. The Dr. of FUN) demonstrated brain energizers that you can use to start your day, between lessons, or whenever your students appear restless. Discover how to reinforce skills through moving and singing.

Brain research emphasizes the importance of the mind-body connection and the need to move every 15-20 minutes. During her presentation, Dr. Jean shared meaningful and fun ways to help your students move and learn. Watch to:

  • Learn songs, games, and movement activities to wake up children’s brains and engage them throughout the day
  • Discover how to take advantage of “instructional time” and reinforce skills in a fun way with chants, exercises, and full-body learning
  • View simple and inexpensive props and materials you can use for brain breaks
  • Find out how to build children’s bodies as you build their brains!

All children can experience success in a playful way. If you’ve ever been in front of a group of children and thought, “How can I get them to settle down?” then this webinar is for you. These brain breaks can help you engage children’s attention in a positive way. And, whether they are 4 or 10, you’ll be able to connect to your students’ bodies and hearts with the ideas you’ll learn in this recorded event.
