Join Kevin Baird for an examination of key approaches for getting students’ actual literacy growth to exceed their expected growth. Accelerating literacy gains is critical for students to graduate from high school college and career ready, and is especially important for historically underserved and struggling students. How can you prioritize acceleration in your school or classroom?
This edWebinar will bring you new ideas about methods and strategies for acceleration, including why to take the long view with students performing below grade level, real acceleration initiatives from successful districts, and why making learning meaningful is a game changer. You’ll hear about research that addresses the whys and hows of literacy acceleration and come away with practical next steps so you can get students attaining literacy gains beyond what’s expected.
This edWebinar will benefit K-12 teachers, librarians, and school and district leaders. There will be time for questions at the end of the presentation.
