Elementary students need experiences with multiple models of fractions in order to gain a deep understanding of the concepts and to develop proficiency with skills. In this edWebinar, Debi DePaul, Elementary Mathematics Consultant at ORIGO Education, explores four different representations of fractions and why each is so critical and challenging to teach.
Gain an understanding of how the different types of fraction visual models provide different perceptual features and therefore serve different purposes.
K-6 teachers, primary math teachers, math curriculum directors, elementary math supervisors, elementary math coordinators, elementary administrators, elementary special education teachers or specialists, math interventionists, and Title I math teachers are invited to be part of this live event. Join us to learn how to incorporate these visual models effectively into your math instruction.
Are you new to math models? Watch this recorded edWebinar presented by ORIGO Education’s Co-founder James Burnett for an introduction to making the most out of math models with your students.
