About the Presenters
Lisa Highfill describes herself as a thinker, philosopher, debater, and geek. She has worked in Pleasanton Unified School District in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 30 years and is currently the middle school teacher in the district’s new virtual academy. Working in the edtech field since 1998 when she earned her master’s degree in edtech leadership, she went on to become a Google Certified Innovator, a Merit Fellow, and a Leading Edge Digital Educator. Lisa has served on many advisory boards including GoogleEDU and Imagine K12 and presents at edtech conferences around the country. Lisa is the co-creator and co-author of The HyperDoc Handbook and Teachers Give Teachers.
Dr. An Wren is a fifth-grade teacher in a large urban school district in Southern California. Prior to that, she was an instructional technology coach for 10 years. She also teaches in the master’s program at Cal State Fullerton specializing in educational technology. She belongs to a number of edtech communities, including Google Certified Innovator, Adobe Creative Innovator, Seesaw Ambassador, and Book Creator Ambassador. Dr. Wren earned her doctorate in learning technologies from Pepperdine University with her research focusing on writing strategies in the digital space.
