About the Presenter
Nancy Penchev is a 20-year teaching veteran with experience in ECE to fifth grade. Currently, she coordinates learning fun in the I Lab at Scheck Hillel Community School in North Miami Beach, Florida. In the I Lab, students do lots of action “I” words, like investigate, iterate, improvise, ignite, and inspire. Students create based on what they’re learning in the classroom and work to teach others what they know. In the I Lab, students make, with robots, coding, moviemaking, and other fun programs, and the I Lab helps teachers integrate these tools into the general-ed classroom experience. Nancy has presented at FETC, ISTE, and ST4T, among other conferences, where she brings her students to share their passions in hopes of inspiring other teachers to incorporate student voice. She regularly shares student work through Instagram and Twitter. Nancy is an ambassador for Wonder Workshop, Weebly, Osmo, and Common Sense Media.
