About the Presenters
Felicia Chetrit is the Supervisor of Elementary Education for Secaucus Public School District (NJ). Her background consists of a wide range of experiences. Felicia graduated from Rowan University with a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education, special education, and mathematics. Additionally, she has a Master of Arts in teaching middle grades mathematics and a Master of Arts in educational leadership from Montclair State University.
She was the recipient of the New Jersey Governor’s Educator of the Year Award and the national Peary Award for Innovative Explorer from Pear Deck. Felicia has experience executing professional development workshops at national and local conferences, providing technical support, monitoring program progress, and communicating districtwide events and information with the school community. Felicia enjoys piloting new programs, exploring new technology resources, and collaborating with the school community to promote student achievement. She is excited to share new technology tools and resources to enhance productivity for educational leaders.
Amanda Jones, Assistant Principal at Secaucus High School (NJ), is a graduate of the Ramapo College of New Jersey where she majored in history and education. She then earned her master’s degrees in both educational technology and educational leadership from Ramapo College. She was the recipient of the New Jersey Governor’s Educator of the Year Award for Secaucus Middle School. She has also been a guest speaker at the NJEA Convention for her work on anti-bullying curricula, at Rutgers University for the National Council for Social Studies discussing curriculum development on September 11. Her students were featured in an HBO documentary produced by award-winning director Amy Schatz titled What Happened on September 11? Amanda has a wide range of experience developing and executing professional development sessions for her district and other local conferences, providing ongoing support to the school community.
