About the Presenters
Zach Cruz is the Director of Expanded Learning Programs at Los Banos Unified School District, where he oversees before-school, after-school, and intersession programs across 13 schools. With over 25 years of experience, Zach has been instrumental in growing the district’s expanded learning programs. Under his guidance, expanded learning programs have strengthened academic and enrichment services while increasing students’ access and enrollment.
Connie Warren, M.Ed., is an educator-turned-marketer with nearly 30 years of experience in K–12 education. Before stepping into her current role as Sr. Marketing Manager at BookNook, Connie served as an instructional coach, summer school principal, trainer, and curriculum coordinator—always with a passion for supporting struggling learners. Today, she combines that classroom-rooted expertise with a sharp eye for storytelling, creating research-based content that helps district leaders examine challenges, reflect on data, and communicate effective strategies that move student achievement forward.
