Hybrid Learning Summer Institute

DAY 1: August 18 – 9:00am ET – 4:45pm ET
DAY 2: August 19 – 10:00am ET – 5:00pm ET

In 2020, teachers around the world faced an unprecedented problem: continuing learning in a digital space, often without the technological or communal infrastructure needed. As we approach the new school year, teachers are once again shifting the learning space, this time to a hybrid learning model, with the additional burden of recovering lost learning from the year before. Hybrid learning is not just a patchwork solution though; it’s an opportunity to identify the flaws in our education system for structural reform.

Day 1 Learners will…

• Identify strategies to support digital communities, communication, assessment and accessibility
• Develop structures to support the hybrid learning environment
• Create a pacing calendar for a learning experience

Day 2 Learners will…

• Identify digital tools to support hybrid learning
• Discuss best practices on how to implement digital tools in a hybrid environment
• Use digital tools to build classroom resources and assessments
