Grant Writing 101: Basics for Beginners
In the April webinar for the edWeb.net GetEdFunding community, the content was geared toward the beginner grant seeker. Presenter Terri Simpson, a Middle School Teacher in Louisiana, discussed tips and tricks for grant writing, based on her own success securing grants and her experience helping others with grants. Each grant has its own specific approach needed for those interested in securing educational grant funding for classroom or school-based projects. Terri shared suggestions for the preparation and compilation of grant applications. Examples of wording from secured grants were shown to demonstrate effective application methods. Suggestions for locating grants were provided as well. Terri also fielded questions from attendees on their specific funding challenges. Attendees left with a general sense of grant writing techniques, a generic grant writing checklist, and suggestions for funding opportunities. View the webinar to gain practical support to get you started on securing funding for your school.
