edWeb and Kaplan Early Learning launch classroom management community

CorrectKLogo2013edWeb.net, a professional learning and social network for the education community, has partnered with Kaplan Early Learning Company, a leader in the field of early care and education, to present Classroom Management for Early Learning, to help early childhood educators enhance the classroom environment to improve young children’s learning.

Classroom Management for Early Learning provides free webinars, presented by experts, industry leaders and educators, that will help early childhood teachers enhance their classrooms and lessons to improve their work with young learners. Educators receive a CE Certificate for attending the live webinars or viewing the recording.

The community hosts online discussions that make it easy for educators to stay connected over time with fellow educators to share ideas, practices, examples, lesson plans, and resources. The community is a growing resource center with webinar archives, CE quizzes, and support materials that can be accessed at anytime, anywhere.

Early Childhood Mental Health Specialist, Rachel Wagner Sperry, MSW, presented the first webinar to the learning community, “4 Steps to FLIP a Challenging Moment into a Learning Opportunity for Young Children.” Over 440 live attendees participated in the one-hour session that explored ways to teach young children how to become emotionally aware problem-solvers that can use healthy coping strategies in difficult moments. Rachel introduced an easy to use strategy that is applicable in a variety of challenging situations.

Lisa Schmucki, founder and CEO of edWeb.net, said, “Classroom management is an area where teachers need so much support. With Kaplan Early Learning, we have found the perfect partner to launch a community that will help early childhood educators create a positive early learning environment for students, schools and families.”

“Many early childhood professionals struggle with implementing effective classroom management strategies,” says Chelsi Brown, Marketing Director at Kaplan Early Learning Company. “It is an honor to partner with edWeb.net to bring valued learning opportunities on this topic to educators around the world.”
