Environmental Video Contest Offers $75,000 in Prizes For Schools

Deadline Approaching! Time Is Limited To Get Your Submission In!
By Caitlin Gambee

If you and your class can create a 3 minute (or less) video about the importance of trees you could win $10,000 for your school!

The video can be many things…

  • A skit
  • A song
  • A dance
  • A speech
  • A jingle
  • A poem
  • An interpretive dance

You name it, you can do it! The more creative the better! Just make sure to answer one question “Why do tree rock?” Trees Rock encourages individuals or groups of kids in grades 3, 4, and 5 or 6, 7, and 8 to submit a video about the importance of trees. In each group, the grand prize winner (determined by a national vote) will win $10,000 for their school to use towards a sustainable project. The remaining 10 finalists in both groups will not leave empty-handed either and can walk away with prizes ranging up to $7,000.

Better at writing than video? Essay entries can be submitted online at www.ScottiesTreesRock.com and winners will be announced monthly and be awarded $250 in gift cards.
