One of the best ways to build trust and community within the school building is through building relationships with coworkers. In this engaging edWebinar, Julie Spierto offers insight and ideas for educators to connect with their colleagues and build those important relationships that are critical to a positive school community. During this interactive session, viewers:
- Learn tools to use during faculty meetings or common planning times to create meaningful conversations and connections and build relationships
- Engage in a “think tank” activity that builds connection followed by a video and peer discussion questions that will model ways to build community in your school building

About the Presenters
Julie Spierto is a senior educational services manager for 7 Mindsets. She holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Vanderbilt University, a degree in secondary education from Peabody College, and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Florida Atlantic University. Julie has been a middle/high teacher, varsity soccer coach, geometry team coach, Teacher of the Year, sponsor for several different high school clubs, and a graduation coach. She has worked in middle and high schools in Tennessee, Florida, and Georgia for 15 years. Julie loves working with educators across the country integrating social-emotional learning into the classroom and seeing the incredible impact the 7 Mindsets can have on educators and students!
Driven by a passion to advocate for the education needs of all learners, Aleasha Stevens draws from a combined 25 years of experience in education as a classroom teacher, instructional technology coach, professional learning executive, and now Director of Education Services for 7 Mindsets where she shepherds strategic initiatives to empower both students and educators to live lives of passion, purpose, and meaning. Through her superior communication skills, dynamic presentation style, and proven ability to build collaborative teams across and beyond organizational boundaries, Aleasha is positively impacting the way learners view themselves and their futures.
