About the Presenters
Dr. Kecia Ray is the Founder and CEO of K20 Connect. Her career includes designing technology in classroom and museum settings and directing technology research through Vanderbilt University School of Medicine Center for Science Outreach and Johns Hopkins University. As a District Administrator for Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools, she led the award-winning design, implementation, and evaluation of instructional technology programs, including instructional design for online and blended learning environments, redesigning physical learning environments, and establishing the virtual high school. She is recognized internationally for her work in online and blended learning and flexible learning environments.
Dr. Ray is a Past President of the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE). In 2015, she was invited to serve on a USDOE technical working group to evaluate education technology. She is a four-time recipient of the President’s Volunteer Service Award and the ISTE Lifetime Achievement Making IT Happen Award. Dr. Ray was named “20 to Watch” by the National School Board Association, Woman of the Year by the National Association of Professional Women, and most recently named a Top 100 EdTech Influencer by EdTech Digest.
Ellen Cleary is a consultant with more than 30 years of experience in the education industry. At McGraw-Hill Higher Education she led marketing and drove annual revenue for a diverse range of products. Ellen also worked at MDR, a Dun & Bradstreet Company. Ellen graduated from Northwestern University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and history. She also earned her MBA, with high honors, from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, where she specialized in organizational leadership and change.
Susan Gentz is K20Connect’s Chief Strategy Officer and a recognized leader in education policy with experience in the Iowa House of Representatives and the United States Senate. She specializes in education finance and technology. A published author, she has been featured in several media outlets on these topics and works to ensure that industry and districts understand what local, state, and the federal government are funding.

Organized by the International Youth Mathematics Organization (IYMO) and sponsored by Think Academy, our goal is to make math enjoyable, cultivate students’ interest in it, develop their logical thinking and problem-solving abilities, and boost their confidence.
