About the Presenters
Dr. Scott Muri is currently the Superintendent of Ector County ISD in Texas. Previously leading large school districts such as Fulton County Schools and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, his roles have included area superintendent, zone superintendent, and chief information officer overseeing research and evaluation, along with technology infrastructure and instructional technology innovation. With a demonstrated passion and ability for leading change, improving organizational effectiveness, and significantly improving student achievement and closing achievement gaps, Dr. Muri focuses on working cooperatively with all community groups in order to create a positive and effective teaching and learning environment.
Brittany Miller, Ph.D. serves as the Managing Director for Southern Education Foundation’s strategic initiative on Outcomes-Based Contracting. In this role, she oversees the learning and coaching with school district leaders to develop an RFP and subsequent contract where a minimum of 40% of the payment to the vendor is contingent on agreed-upon student outcomes. Most recently, Dr. Miller led as Senior Director of Expanded Academic Learning for Denver Public Schools (DPS) during the pilot for Outcomes-Based Contracting. She is deeply committed to promoting equity and considering community and school context in strategy development.
Sunil Gunderia, Chief Innovation Officer at Age of Learning, is a recognized EdTech industry leader who led the development of My Math Academy and My Reading Academy, adaptive products that integrate learning science, behavioral research, and AI to tailor education for each child. The development of these patented products resulted in Age of Learning receiving an SIIA CODiE Award as the most Innovative EdTech Company.
