How would learning experiences change if school districts made decisions by first listening to the voices of students and community members?

During the 2023–2024 academic school year, Digital Promise collaborated with the Learner-Centered Collaborative (LCC) to conduct equity-centered listening tours in Traverse City Area Public Schools (Michigan) and Lynwood Unified School District (California) to explore this question. Join us for this insightful edWebinar to hear the transformative findings from this initiative that amplified the perspectives of students, educators, families, and community members, and transformed student learning and district decision making.

In this edWebinar, you:

  • Discover our process for integrating community voices into educational practices
  • Gain insights from key learnings and actionable recommendations gathered from our data
  • Hear directly from district leaders about strategies for addressing community-identified priorities and fostering engagement

This recorded edWebinar is of interest to PreK-12 teachers, school leaders, district leaders, and education technology leaders.

Digital Promise’s Center for Inclusive Innovation reimagines education research and development (R&D) by resourcing the creative ingenuity of communities working in partnership with school districts to create equitable powerful learning opportunities for students furthest from opportunity. The foundation for Inclusive Innovation is anchored in a set of core tenets that embody an equity-centered approach to research and development. The tenets define how we deliberately support teams in co-constructing an inclusive R&D culture that enables equitable leadership and contribution.
