With budgeting always a concern, schools are getting creative to ensure the best return on investment for their shift to digital content. Hear Lancaster-Lebanon Intermediate Unit 13’s story of delivering eBooks and audiobooks to 22 districts (and more) with a shared collection. This powerful solution enables two or more schools or districts to access digital content via a joint platform, with all purchased titles available to all members through this central access point.
In this engaging edWebinar, Instructional Media & Technology Consultant Ken Zimmerman discusses how the shared collection model allowed IU13 to:
- Maximize purchasing power and provide a robust selection of reading resources to students and educators
- Register thousands of checkouts per month across entire school communities, including “secret readers” who now enjoy the privacy and 24/7, anywhere access that digital offers
School librarians and media specialists, and curriculum development personnel are invited to watch this recorded session to learn how to expand access to digital reading resources by sharing.
